Hi, I’m Coach Marvin Menzies, former head basketball coach of UNLV Runnin’ Rebels and New Mexico State Aggies. I’ve been a Head Men’s Basketball Coach and Assistant Coach in college basketball for over 30 years. I’ve worked under some of the most accomplished basketball minds ever, Rick Pitino, Steve Fisher, and Lon Kruger, and I led the Aggies to five NCAA Tournaments in nine seasons and won 73% of my conference games. New Mexico State finished in the top 3 every season and won at least 21 games in all but two of my seasons in Las Cruces. By the end of my tenure, New Mexico State had taken complete control of the conference. I spent three seasons helping to rebuild the Runnin’ Rebels and last season as Assistant Head Coach to Dan Majerle at Grand Canyon University. My teams have been renowned for their defensive excellence and I’ve been a top recruiter in the US and internationally since my days as a head coach in Junior College. One of my most accomplished players is Pascal Siakam, who was an AP All-American in 2016 and was NBA champion (2019) NBA All-Star (2020) NBA Most Improved Player (2019).
